Nic is thrilled to be donning the big red suit again to play Santa Claus in Elf, The Musical. He created the role of Santa in 2017 for the world premiere of Tom Fletcher’s musical version of his book The Christmasaurus at Hammersmith’s Eventim Apollo.

Nic has long been associated with the role of Old Deuteronomy in Cats playing the role on and off for 21 years. He first joined the London production in 1998, returning in 2001 and closing the West End production in May 2002. He toured internationally with Cats in 2003, 2006 and again in 2013/2014 before recreating Old Deuteronomy for the revised production at The London Palladium in 2014/15 opposite Nicole Scherzinger. In 2019, he again wore the furry cat suit for the Far Eastern tour to China, The Philippines and Singapore.

He received huge acclaim for his 2007 performance as Don Quixote in The Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh production of Man of la Mancha. For this role he was nominated for the prestigious Theatre Managers Association Award for Best Performance in a Musical.

Other West End work includes Frollo in Notre Dame de Paris; Montenotte for the West End premiere of Napoleon; Eddie/Dr.Scott in The Rocky Horror Show; King Richard in Robin Hood and South Pacific.

He created the role of Tony Gliardi in the world premiere of The Fix at the Donmar Warehouse, directed by Sam Mendes.

On tour, Nic has played Jean Valjean in Les Miserables, Peron in Evita, Molokov in Chess and Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar.

A stalwart of the panto circuit, Nic has played various Kings, Aldermen, Emperors and Sultans as well as Abanazar and even an Ugly Sister.

Nic lived in Spain for 9 years where he was founder member and musical director of the vocal harmony group Tres Divos who performed up and down the Costa del Sol as well as corporate & theatre shows in Norway, Ireland and the UK.

T.V. and radio work: whilst in Spain Nic hosted his own weekly radio show The Sound of Musicals for expat radio station, TRE. A keen cook, Nic appeared as a contestant on Masterchef and has recently begun hosting pop-up restaurant evenings in venues in Eastbourne where he now lives.

Dexter is thrilled to be making his West End debut as Michael Hobbs in Elf the Musical. He has previously played the role of Gavroche in the UK and International tour of Les Miserables and Paul Rawlins in Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks UK and Ireland tour.

Dexter loves music and is a keen drummer. He would like to thank his family and teachers for their ongoing support.
